Vars is easily accessible from major French cities and Italy.
From Marseille: about 3h30 via the A51, Gap, Embrun and Guillestre.
From Paris: around 8h, with two options after Grenoble – via the Lautaret Pass or the Bayard Pass.
In winter, always check the weather and make sure you have snow tyres or chains for a safer journey with children on board.
