La Lauzière

We stayed at Sowell for a ski holiday and overall had a very good experience. The hotel is well located, close to the piste, and the staff were very kind. We initially had some trouble with noise from a neighbouring room (the laundry room), but after requesting a different room, we were moved within an hour, which we really appreciated. The food was good in both taste and quantity, and the buffet changed every day. Our room was clean, and some rooms have balconies. The bathroom and toilet were separated, which was convenient. There was plenty of storage space in the room. In the ski room there are no lockers, but there are racks for skis and boots. The location is good, but if you want to ski to Les Arcs, you’ll need to bring a lunch packet. The lifts and pistes are nearby, although accessing the slopes can be a bit challenging for beginners. There is an alternative: the shuttle bus to the lifts, but sometimes it leaves earlier than scheduled. One thing we missed was a sauna, but overall our stay was very enjoyable.

Great ski in/out family and friends accommodation, staff is super friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious everyday, so one delicacy after the other, ability to ski in and out is just awesome. One suggestion: add a way to dry ski boots and perhaps some sauna facilities.

We had a great family ski holiday in Sowell, La Lauziere. We were a big group of 4 families and the hotel with included food as well as being able to make a sandwich for lunch was brilliant. Our room was a triple and very comfortable, plenty of hot water and just enough space for all our clutter! The staff were so friendly and helpful, communication by email was great leading up to our holiday with a few questions I had. Renting the ski gear at the hotel was easy and the ski in ski out right to the door of the boot room was perfect. The ski area is amazing and we would definately go again.

The location is excellent, the food is superb, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and cozy. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the dining options to the shuttle bus service and ski rental. Everything provided is of the highest quality. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and certainly plan to return.

Encore une fois, très satisfait de notre séjour dans un hôtel de la chaîne Sowell. Le personnel était très agréable, le catering excellent, l'hôtel au pied des pistes (mais tout en bas de la station, dommage et à l'opposé des Arcs) et si pas assez à l'aise une navette est également mise à disposition pour vous amenez aux remontées. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce séjour, on y serait bien restés un peu plus longtemps ;)

We loved our stay. Our room (514) was very pretty, comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a great place for skiing, and the ability to pack a lunch from the breakfast buffet was great! Some areas for improvement: The food buffets were lovely, though some more vegetarian options for the dinner would have been great. The breakfast buffet was also lovely, though the lines to get coffee were very long. I'd have loved to be able to drink some alcohol free beer at the bar, but that wasn't available.

Enjoyed January 2025 so much that we returned in Jan 2026, Snow even better this year . Hoping to bring a few other members of family next year all being well.

Great hotel, where the staff were always friendly and hard working nothing was to much trouble. The room were good and had heated floors the only thing with our room was there wasn't a mirror in the bedroom part only in the bathroom and no bedside cabinets or drawers to put small items in, which is why I've rated the room as only 3 stars. The location was easy access to the main village and was a 5 - 10 minute walk. We were on a skiing holiday and the hotel would have been ski in and ski out if there had been a bit more snow, however there wasn't enough for ski in and ski out until our last day. The hotel has ski storage but due to the issue I've described we hired a locker at the ski hire shop. There is also a regular shuttle bus to get you to the center of the village and the ski lifts and back to the hotel

I appreciated the position, the food, the cleanliness and the staff friendliness. I liked the all nclusive package. I'd have liked a more spacious room and bathroom, since they don't come cheap.
