In winter, with 100 km of pistes spread over 48 slopes and 19 ski lifts, Pra Loup offers a varied ski area suitable for all levels. As part of the Espace Lumière, an area linked to La Foux d’Allos, the resort has 180 km of pistes. At altitudes of between 1,500 and 2,600 metres, nestling in the heart of a larch forest, the area boasts a wide variety of slopes and a wealth of panoramic views.

Pra Loup is packed with activities, so after skiing the day isn’t over! Try your hand at snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating or paragliding!

In summer, the resort becomes a paradise for lovers of outdoor activities.

You can explore the many hiking trails in the Mercantour National Park, try your hand at downhill mountain biking on the resort’s 7 trails, or try your hand at 100% natural river whitewater sports in the Ubaye Valley, such as rafting or canyoning.

Located at the foot of the slopes, the Marmotel & Spa hotel combines elegance and comfort. It’s a historic, modern establishment with warm spaces that will plunge you into a world of relaxation with a breathtaking view of the start of the slopes or the peace and quiet of the resort.

The hotel has 96 comfortable double, triple and family rooms. All feature a typical mountain design. The hotel is classified as a disabled tourism establishment, with 6 of its Classic and Deluxe rooms accessible for people with reduced mobility.

The Marmotel & Spa hotel has a restaurant, ‘Le Refuge’, offering a cosy, authentic atmosphere in the form of a fast-food menu at lunchtime or a buffet in the evening. Whether in the dining room or on the sunny terrace, you’re sure to enjoy this gourmet interlude.

To relax after an active day, head to the hotel bar, a friendly place lit by the soft warmth of the fireplace and the crackling of the logs.

In winter there is more than just skiing

Praloup and its surroundings offer many other activities for non-skiers: snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ice rink... Everyone will find something to enjoy on the slopes and in the resort!

Praloup ski resort

Resort on a human scale and with a family atmosphere, Pra Loup remains the ideal place for practicing winter sports and Alpine skiing with its “Espace Lumière” area of 180 km of slopes between Pra Loup 1600, Pra Loup 1500 and the Foux d’Allos. With its 39 slopes and 19 ski lifts, you will have the choice to descend the snowy slopes with the only backdrop being the breathtaking landscapes of the Ubaye valley.

Praloup brings together a large number of activities, perfect for the whole family. In summer you will find: cycle touring, mountain biking, kayaking, the praloop, a sled accessible all year round over more than 1 km and many activities for families.

Barcelonnette Capital of the Ubaye valley

Situated in the heart of the Ubaye valley, Barcelonnette is a charming town with a rich cultural influence, famous for its fascinating history of emigration to Mexico in the 19th century. This little Alpine gem combines mountain tradition with Mexican heritage, visible in the colourful architecture of its houses and villas, remnants of a time when the Barcelonnette family left to seek their fortunes across the Atlantic. The town is an excellent base for exploring the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, with its spectacular scenery of mountains, forests and rivers.
