Just 2 hours from Aix en Provence, Pra Loup is the reference station in the Alpes de Haute Provence. It dominates the Ubaye Valley and is located 10 km from Barcelonnette, at the gates of the Mercantour National Park.

Its ideal location will allow you to discover all the natural and heritage riches of this multifaceted territory.

In winter, with its 180 km of slopes, the Espace Lumière, an area linked to the Foux d’Allos, will suit snow and board sports enthusiasts. Nestled in the heart of a larch forest, the area is distinguished by the diversity of the slopes, the richness of its panoramas but also by its recent equipment… After a good day of skiing, you can entertain yourself with numerous leisure activities ( snowmobiling, ice rink, indoor tennis, etc.) and enjoy the entertainment offered by the resort.

In summer, Pra Loup takes on its green setting and becomes the starting point for a day of discovery with hikes in the Mercantour National Park or cycling on the legendary Cols of the Tour de France. Thrill-seekers can try downhill mountain biking on the 7 trails available at the resort or even white water sports on the Ubaye, a 100% natural river, a favorite spot for rafting, canyoning, aqua-fun descent….

Our accomodation Pra Loup

The Pra Loup residence is located 250 meters from the center of the resort and 300 meters from the snow front.

To make your travel easier, just a stone’s throw from the residence, you can take the shuttles set up by the resort and access the snow front in less than 5 minutes!

These shuttles also provide connections allowing you to travel through the Ubaye valley and its typical villages.

Our establishment provides 54 comfortable apartments that can accommodate up to 6 people.

Each apartment has a functional kitchen area equipped with all the necessary equipment to prepare delicious meals after a good day outdoors: ceramic hob, refrigerator, microwave and grill, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.

In your apartment you will also have a television, bathroom linen, sheets depending on the number of occupants (beds not made).

For a hassle-free vacation, you can opt for the “end of stay cleaning” option at an additional cost.

Praloup ski resort

Resort on a human scale and with a family atmosphere, Pra Loup remains the ideal place for practicing winter sports and Alpine skiing with its “Espace Lumière” area of 180 km of slopes between Pra Loup 1600, Pra Loup 1500 and the Foux d’Allos. With its 39 slopes and 19 ski lifts, you will have the choice to descend the snowy slopes with the only backdrop being the breathtaking landscapes of the Ubaye valley.

In winter there is more than just skiing

Praloup and its surroundings offer many other activities for non-skiers: snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ice rink... Everyone will find something to enjoy on the slopes and in the resort!

Barcelonnette Capital of the Ubaye valley

Located 10 minutes by car from our establishment, Barcelonnette is considered the capital of the Valley. You will find there the Valley Museum and numerous restaurants.

The Bois Chenu Golf Course

During your stay you can work on your swing at the Bois Chenu Golf Course in Barcelonnette. This 9-hole golf course is located 10 minutes by car in the heart of the Ubaye valley. You will enjoy unspoilt nature and a pleasant climate during your games.

Hiking

Discover the mountain differently, during your hikes you will discover fauna and flora preserved in a postcard setting. With more than 30 km of marked trails, the resort offers beautiful walks accessible to young and old.

Activities for all tastes

Praloup brings together a large number of activities, perfect for the whole family. In summer you will find: cycle touring, mountain biking, kayaking, the praloop, a sled accessible all year round over more than 1 km and many activities for families.

Lake Serre-Ponçon

Located 40 minutes by car, Lake Serre-Ponçon is the largest artificial lake in France. You will find many water activities there in turquoise water!

Via Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, take the A51 freeway to Tallard, then take the direction of Barcelonnette and Pra Loup.

From Paris and the North of France :
Via Lyon, take the A43 freeway to Grenoble then follow the RN85 (Route Napoléon) to Gap. Follow the direction of Barcelonnette and Pra Loup.

Daily connections with the SCAL coach company are set up to reach the station –

You will be able to reach Gap from the Aix en Provence TGV station, the Marseille Saint-Charles station or the Manosque station. Every Saturday, you can take advantage of the « white shuttles », direct bus transfer to Pra Loup.
